I’m thrilled to have you visit my website. Beja Knits and Weaving has been a project of mine for 7 years and I have finally put together this website. I hope that it inspires you to envision the kinds of beautiful textiles that you can have around you.
I work with each customer to design projects as intimate as a scarf, as bold as a colorful dining room tablecloth, or as personal as a blanket to keep you warm on chilly winter nights.
Several folks have asked about the origin of “Beja”. Is it some beautiful place I visited? Yes, there is a Beja, Portugal but alas I have not been there. The Beja are pastoral nomads native to northeast Africa. I’ve been to Ethiopia but did not see the Beja. The name comes from the first initials of me and my family members and reflects the support and love we give each other as we launch into our activities, challenges, careers and fun.
